Overview

Scrollshot is a Chrome extension published by Nakel on the Chrome Web Store. It captures a full web page as one PNG image on your computer. Scrollshot does not operate a backend server for captures and does not sell user data.

Information we process

When you start a capture, Scrollshot processes website contentfrom the active tab you invoked the extension on (visible text, images, and layout). This is the same information already shown in your browser, used only to build a screenshot.

Scrollshot does not collect:

• Your name, email, or contact details through the extension
• Passwords or authentication credentials
• Browsing history across other tabs or sites
• Location, health, or payment data

How we collect information

Processing happens only after you click Capture full page in the toolbar popup or use the keyboard shortcut. The extension uses theactiveTab permission so it can access only that tab, not every site you visit in the background.

How we use information

• Scroll the page and capture viewport images
• Stitch images into one PNG
• Show the PNG in a new browser tab
• Copy or download the PNG if you choose

We do not use this information for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any purpose other than full-page capture.

Where data is stored

The latest screenshot may be stored in your browser’s local extension storage so the result tab can display it. Data stays on your device until you capture again or remove the extension.

Sharing and disclosure

Scrollshot does not sell, rent, or transfer user data to third parties. We do not share website content or screenshots with advertisers or data brokers. No capture data is transmitted to Nakel’s servers because Scrollshot has no capture server.

Permissions

• activeTab — the tab you capture, when you start a capture
• scripting — scroll helper injected into that tab during capture
• clipboardWrite — when you click Copy image on the result tab
• storage — latest screenshot locally for the result tab

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Scrollshot’s use of information received from Chrome extension APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. User data is used only to provide full-page screenshot capture, is not used for unrelated purposes, is not sold, and is not transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide that feature on your device.

Children

Scrollshot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy when the extension changes. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
